Located in the quiet district of Les Balcons in the lively resort of Val Thorens, the Chalet Altitude is 100m from the slopes but it is possible to ski back to the residence (*), however you would need to be of an intermediate standard. The nearest ski lift is a mere 200m away from the residence, whilst the resort centre itself is just a up to a 10 minute walk down hill (allow a little longer to walk back).
Chalet Altitude is a luxury residence built in traditional Savoyard style. There are 20 apartments with outstanding views over the resort and slopes from the balconies.
The residence enjoys a wellness centre and there is free access to the private indoor heated swimming pool and sauna (open between 10:00 - 20:00). The residence next door (Chalet Val 2400) has a bar named the 'Red Fox' where snacks and a take away service are available. There is a supermarket and restaurants just 20m away. The Chalet Altitude also has its own private underground parking (payable locally), a laundry room (payable locally), Wi-Fi access, and ski lockers.
The loan of cot and high chairs is available (subject to availability and request).
All the spacious apartments at Chalet Altitude are fitted and furnished to a very high standard of comfort and convenience. They have a fully equipped kitchenette with ceramic hob, fridge, dishwasher, multi-function oven, microwave, electric coffee-maker, toaster and kettle. All apartments have a lounge area with open fire, satellite TV, a telephone, Wi-Fi internet access and a balcony .
Please note: for any apartments/chalets that feature bunk beds, sleeping in the top bunk is not recommended for children under the age of 6 years old.
(*)This indicates that you can access to or from the slopes with ease (within 100m of the residence). This is subject to normal snow conditions in the resort at that time and to the individual skier's ability. |
