La
Rosiere, as voted for by the Ski Collection

Ski
Collection is proud to promote La
Rosière, an
un-crowded South facing resort and possibly the
sunniest slopes of the Tarentaise region, a leading
destination that has retained a village feel and will
attract families and groups of friends in search of
quality accommodation, good slopes for beginner and
intermediate skiers alike, together with a whole
at-hand range of activities and facilities. The
locals are friendly and will go the extra mile to
help you in spending a good holiday by sharing their
knowledge and passion for the resort as well as the
one of La Thuile in Italy. La Thuile will enable you
to flavour another country and at the same time also
sample some inexpensive, fine Italian cuisine.

Thanks to its high altitude (1850-2640m), the resort
has very good snow records and is reputed for its
snow sure on this 150km international skiing domain
known as San
Bernardo, and with the
help of 300 snow guns it means that there are always
enough slopes opened for you to go down and enjoy
gorgeous sceneries. The Col du Petit-Saint-Bernard
closes in winter and makes place to a superb piste
that links La Rosière to La Thuile in the
Aosta Valley which has an excellent chair lift
network; slopes well worth trying with magnificent
views. As for ski-school,
ESF has several centres where you can enrol with many
friendly English speaking instructors to show you
the… slopes!

The
Team has hand-picked two chalet style residences for
its Ski Finest
Collection,
Les Balcons de la
Rosière
and
Les Cimes
Blanches, which we rate as
4 Star and 4 Star Superior respectively, newly built
in the Les Eucherts area, a quieter but well
developed centre, only 15 minutes on foot or 5
minutes by shuttle bus to the heart of the main
village.
We have given priority to the actual
residences’ location in the resort itself, with
ski in/ski out facility for convenience, close to
local amenities such as restaurants (some on-site),
bakers, ski-hire shops,
bars to unwind or clubs to take you through the
night. In making our choice we did not forget that
you may need to cater for the very young ones with
the facility of a nearby ski-school or the newly
built nursery which are less
than 10mn walk away, and again, parents will not need
to worry about their off-spring getting cold on the
slopes as they are south facing. Obviously we want
your skiing holiday to remain a real treat...

Both
residences have a Jacuzzi and in addition for a
greater variety of activities, Les Cimes Blanches
offers a free on-site indoor heated swimming pool and
sauna plus a Spa & Beauty Centre providing some
of the most wonderful treatments which you can
tailor-made and pay locally or by prior booking with
us. Both are equipped with covered car parks and
spaces can be pre-booked through us and have many
more services available.

These self-catering apartments offer generous floor
space and are well equipped to accommodate the party
size often with an open-plan kitchen for a friendlier
and closer ambiance. The decoration is of a
traditional Alpine style with many apartments
boasting a fireplace or a log burner for a really
warm atmosphere; they have large balconies where you
can “chill out” with a glass of Savoie
white wine enjoying the panoramic views over the
Tarentaise peaks, the slopes and for that later part
of the evening, some apartments will give you the
opportunity to re-live your day snuggled up by the
fireplace giving you that complete holiday feel. If
you fancy lunching or dining in style you should try
Le Turia which offers fine cuisine at affordable
prices or L’Ancolie for a good Fondue or
Savoyarde speciality (one of our Directors still
raves about the latter)…

|
Finally, we were delighted to visit the resort,
residences, and over and above the ski domain and we
will be happy to share our intimate knowledge and
give you first-hand service in booking your next
skiing holiday there at very competitive prices for
Les Balcons de la
Rosière
and
Les Cimes
Blanches.
