Le Télémark in Tignes is situated at the entrance of the resort in Le Lac area and offers doorstep skiing*. Access to the residence from the slopes requires a short walk uphill although there is a short cut. The reception staff can advise on the exact route to take to ski back to the residence.
The Chaudannes chairlift is close to Le Telemark and operates from 9am onwards, this is something to keep in mind if you are thinking of taking ski school lessons in the morning. There is a free shuttle bus to the resort centre that operates approximately every 30-45 minutes, but if the times do not match your lesson time you will need to allow for the 10 minute walk to the centre and your meeting point.
Built for the winter 09/10 ski season by the acclaimed mountain architects MGM, Le Telemark Tignes is a new residence composed of 1 chalet-style building and offers 52 luxurious apartments.
Le Télémark boasts a Spa and Beauty Centre with free access to the private indoor heated swimming pool, Jacuzzis, saunas, steam rooms and fitness room. Numerous facial and body treatments and massages are also available (payable). Bathrobes can be hired.
Other facilities at Le Telemark include a lounge area with open fire, free Wi-Fi access in the main reception area and all apartments (free for first PC/handset), luggage room, lifts, laundry room (payable), ski lockers and covered parking (payable, max height 1.80m). Bakery/catering services and breakfast kits are also available for purchase.
The loan of cots, highchairs, bottle warmers, socket guards, changing tables (all on request, 1 cot & 1 highchair max per apartment), board games, fondue, raclette and pierrade sets is also possible at Le Telemark (subject to availability).
The apartments at Le Télémark Tignes are very tastefully decorated in a modern yet traditional fashion and offer a high standard of comfort. They all have a fully equipped kitchenette with a 4-ring ceramic hob, multi-function oven, cooker hood, fridge, dishwasher, Senseo coffee-maker, kettle, toaster, mixer and pressure cooker. All apartments have satellite TV, telephone (calls payable), heated towel rail and hairdryer in the bathroom and a balcony.
Please note: for any apartments/chalets that feature bunk beds at Le Telemark Tignes, sleeping in the top bunk is not recommended for children under the age of 6 years old.
