Tip 2 – Ski apartments + self-catering = Affordable ski holidays!

Booking self-catering ski accommodation will cost a lot less than catered chalets or hotels and is a great way to holiday with friends, family or as a couple. Self-catering offers total flexibility, convenience and gives you complete control over your holiday.

Self-catering ski holidays are fantastic options for not only families with young children, but also large groups and those that may have special dietary needs such as vegetarians or vegans. This is not to say that you couldn't eat out a couple of nights during the week but by taking some food with you, buying supplies at a hypermarket on the way and by eating in the majority of the week you will certainly save money. It is also great for people who want a bit more privacy.

Train is a good value alternative to flying and ideal for those who prefer to leave the car at home. We can arrange two train options: Direct Ski Train or Eurostar Beyond (with a change at Paris). Take the evening train both ways and you could benefit from 8 days skiing instead of just 6. A private taxi transfer can also be cheaper when taken from/to a train station rather than an airport, saving you even more money!
