Ste Foy

Resort description

Sainte Foy is a small ski area first opened in 1990. Nestled amongst the trees, this uncrowned gem is known only to a select few. It is close to the large resorts of Tignes, Les Arcs and Val d'Isere, yet holds a real unspoilt, intimate village atmosphere. Built in the Savoyard style it gives a seamless blend of old and new, a refreshing change from some of the concrete jungles found the larger alpine resorts.

Skiing in Sainte Foy

The new 1650m long six-person chairlift now joining Charmettes at 1800m to Marquise at 2500m has dramatically increased the lift accessed terrain. New blue-run Grand Solliet and red-run La Fogliettaz have been created as a result and more off-piste routes have been made easily accessible.

Snowboarding in Sainte Foy

Snowboarders will find a snowpark.

Ski school

The ESF in Sainte Foy offers private or group lessons of ski, snowboard, telemark and off piste / Freeride.

A kindergarten “Jardin des neiges” will welcome youngsters (from 4 years old) who desire to get familiarised with the skiing sensations.

The Skiing
Sainte Foy is famous for its vast amounts of quiet, untouched powder slopes. The lift system offers access to a choice of green, blue and reds that run through the trees offering great fun and are real confidence builders. This resort appeals to a mixed level of skiers and boarders, and is frequented by locals and ski instructors from nearby 'mega resorts' on their days off.
Après Ski
There are a mix of 8 restaurants, from traditional fondue and raclette to haute cuisine. There are a few bars offering a relaxed night scene. For the more adventurous 'night owls' it presents the possibility of venturing to Val d'Isere for some serious après ski!
Amenities
Sainte Foy offers a well equipped selection of ski shops, small supermarkets and a children's area near to the ski school. Other amenities include banks, a post office and bakeries.
