Puy Saint Vincent

Resort description

Surrounded by areas of natural beauty and comprising an array of chapels and traditional wooden and stone buildings, Puy St Vincent is rich in natural and religious heritage. It is a perfect blend authentic village atmosphere and the advantages of a modern resort. It is located in the largest park in France, the 92000 acre 'Les Ecrins' offering magnificent views over the Ecrins Massif. The resort offers a beautiful ski area with an excellent variety of runs, and is located within its own microclimate that produces both good snow and sunshine in large quantities. Puy St. Vincent 1600 is most convenient for ski lifts and has the lion's share of facilities. The resort is family orientated and offers better value than some of the nearby resorts.

Lift passes

Puy Saint Vincent lift passes give you access to all the pistes of the resort. With a 6 to 14 days lift pass, you will be able to ski one day in one of the following resorts: Pelvoux-Vallouise, Serre Chevalier, Montgenève, Les 2 Alpes, L'Alpe d'Huez, La Grave.

The Skiing
The resort is good for intermediate and beginners with gentle slopes for learners, and good skiers will enjoy the black runs and off piste areas, along with a snowpark for avid boarders which is flood lit at night. A fast quad chair rises above the tree line to about 2000m and from here you can shoot back down on some thrilling reds, or sail down the greens which take a less direct route. Alternatively, continue up via a long chair to the top station of 2700m, serving open reds and genuine black runs. Puy St.Vincent itself has 60km of piste, but lifts give you access to 281 individual pistes in the Grande Galaxie Ski Area, including resorts such as Alpe d'Huez, Les Deux Alpes and Vaujany.
Après Ski
The end of the skiing day can be quite lively but the nightlife is not rowdy. At 1600 the après-ski is centred on the main residence building with its variety of bars and cafes. There are some friendly, value for money bars and one night club. There are quite a few really good restaurants around the village, offering typical French cuisine, with fondues, raclettes, pirades and tartiflette.
Amenities
The resort is great for families and offers a great variety of childcare facilities, including 3 ski schools/kindergartens, 3 crèches from 18months to 3years, a children's zone and various activity clubs for those aged 3 - 12years.
Activities
Puy St.Vincent offers a range of non-skiing activities which are great fun for all the family. You can experience ice climbing up frozen waterfalls, horse drawn ski rides, star gazing, night skiing, down hill slope slides, snow shoeing and skidoing. The resort also offers an ice rink, swimming pool, paragliding and dog sledging opportunities.
