La Forêt d'Or is located at 1800m in the new Bois Méan area of Les Orres, opposite the slopes and in front of the 4-seater Préciaux chair-lift - allowing direct access to the ski area of Les Orres. La Forêt d'Or is built in traditional style using wood and stone and is composed of 2 residences, housing 284 apartments in total.
Adjacent to La Forêt d'Or you will find 2 restaurants, a snack-bar and a supermarket that also offers a bakery, newsagents and regional products. The ESF ski school office is not far away.
Facilities at La Forêt d'Or include free access to the outdoor heated swimming pool and sauna (during certain times), ski lockers, 2 reception areas with fireplace and underground parking (payable, subject to availability, must be pre-booked). The loan of raclette, pierrades and crepe sets, board games, irons and ironing boards is also possible (subject to availability). Cots, highchairs, tea towels, towels, TVs and sun-loungers can be hired.
All the apartments at La Forêt d'Or are fitted and furnished to a very good standard of comfort and convenience. The interior décor is cosy and traditional, with the use of light wood and warm colours. They all have a fully equipped kitchenette with electric hob, microwave or oven, fridge, dishwasher, electric coffee maker and toaster, ski locker, LCD TV (payable, with 15 French and International channels), and a balcony or terrace.
Please note: for any apartments/chalets that feature bunk beds, sleeping in the top bunk is not recommended for children under the age of 6 years old. |
